If you want to log on to LinuxLab NetMeeting directory server(http://ils.linuxlab.co.kr),
and receive NetMeeting call from others, follow this step.
(LinuxLab ILS server uses web interface, doesn't support "Find Someone")
- Install NetMeeting.
- Configure netmeeting option.
- Step 1: If below popup window shows up, Click "Next"
- Step 2: Input your name and mail address.(necessary)
Do not use below name and mail address.
(It is only example. It is my name & mail address. (^_^) )
- Step 3: Check "Log on to a directory ..", then input LinuxLab's directory server name.(Very Very Very Importent!)
ils.linuxlab.co.kr
ils = internet locator service.
*. Microsoft ceased ils server service since 1999.
- Step 4: Choose internet line speed.
If you use 56k modem, select "28800 or 14400 bps modem".
- Step 5: Next
- Step 6: omitted
Test your audio device(Mic & Speaker)
- Step 7: Register ID & Pass

- When you have finished, you will find netmeeting icon on your desktop window.
Connect
http://ils.linuxlab.co.kr
If your setup is OK, your name will appear on list.
Click name(first column on the list) if you want to call someone on the list.
(Use Microsoft Explorer. Netscape not supported.)
- If you use NAT router or private ip(virtual ip), you can't call others.
Request ID, then input ID & Pass.
- You can change above options anytime.
On netmeeting, open "tools" -> "options" -> "general"
- If you don't speak Korean, Do not afraid of calling Korean.
Many Koreans can speak, and write English well.
Caution!
Don't call the person containing Korean letters
"°¡Á·" (bold blue color) on the last column of list.
They are waiting for call from families.(°¡Á· means family)
